Lesson 1: The Basics of Building a Site

By Troy Dreier

Import Text from Microsoft Word

One new feature of Dreamweaver 3 allows users to import and easily clean up pages from Microsoft Word. This lets you keep the formatting from a Word document, without having to tweak the code by hand. Begin by saving the Word document as an HTML page. In Dreamweaver, select File/Import/Import Word HTML. After you've selected the file, a window appears that lets you choose what tags to clean up.
