Lesson 1: The Basics of Building a Site

By Troy Dreier

Using the Quick Tag Editor

One of the handiest things about Dreamweaver has always been the ability it gives to move between WYSIWYG and HTML views. The Quick Tag Editor makes it even easier. To edit the HTML for a graphic, for example, highlight the graphic and press the quick tag button (it's in the top right of the Properties window, just below the help icon). A small window appears with only the HTML for that tag inside. The Quick tag editor can also be used to wrap a tag around an object, or to add new code.
