Lesson 4: Inserting Media

Inserting Java Applets

Start by writing your applet and placing the file within the site's root folder. Open the desired page in Dreamweaver and place your cursor where the applet should appear. Open the Object Palette; select the Common menu from the pulldown list at the top. Click the Applet button (that's the one that looks like a steaming coffee cup). A dialog box will appear. Use it to open the Java applet text file. Finish by specifying the applet's properties in the Property window.
