Lesson 5: Managing Your Site

Linking to Your Remote Site

Start by going to the Site pulldown menu and choosing Define Sites. Select your site from the dialog box and choose Edit. Next, choose Web Server Info from the list on the left side.

If you're working with a locally mounted site, or if you're running your own server, chose Local/Network from the Server Access popup menu at the top right. Browse to where the remote folder is kept. You can choose to have your list of files automatically refreshed, although this will slow file transfer.

If you connect via FTP, choose FTP from the Server Access popup menu. You'll need to know your FTP host, the host directory, the login name, and the password. Ask the server administrator if you're not sure.
