TROVE

The Trove document software application provides users with a tool that will remove the cost, delay and risk associated with archiving. With Trove, users do not have to rely on individuals placing paper updates in their documentation. If documents are already online as shared files, Trove provides a range of additional features, such as version control, powerful searching and cross-referencing to other documents within a library which users can create to share documents with colleagues. The Trove application is based on a familiar library concept where documents are held in folders on shelves within libraries. Users see documents identified by meaningful titles in appropriately labeled folders. Trove's free text searching functionality ensures users get a rapid response to their searches. Information can be pinpointed within seconds because every word and number is automatically indexed by Trove when it is loaded.

Upon using Trove for the time, we discovered that it is a very efficient tool. Some of the features that stood out to us were:

  • The easy utilization of the application
  • Hypertext links and contents lists, which are automatically maintained across libraries
  • Loading documents from word processors, simple text, scanned paper— anywhere
  • Controlling documents release and withdrawal
  • Notification of revisions

ForeMost Enterprise

Primarily used for record management, Foremost Enterprise is an interesting alternative for individuals who are seeking efficient software to archive documents that should be easily accessible. Foremost Enterprise permits users to gain complete control over deployability, powerful end-user tools and flexible options for distributing information other users for strategic planning decisions. The control can be seen in the user interface of the application. Users may file away documents in no more than three clicks and explore context filings with a right click option. When classifying documents, users have the option to notify other users of which documents are personal or shared. Given this option, users are allowed to limit the amount of people who can have access to documents within a file that is titled "Personal." Once users are done filing and classifying documents, Foremost Enterprise provides effective methods of searching for archived information. Along with full-text searching, users may build their own customize search profile to aid in retrieving information efficiently.
