After heavy voting in the past two weeks, our readers have selected their picks for Intranet Journal's Product of the Year Awards.

The dominance of Google can't be denied yet again, as it took home two awards this year. It repeated in the Enterprise Search category, with Fast Search coming in second. (Microsoft recently bought Fast.)

Google also dominated a new category, Semantic Web Tool. Freebase from MetaWeb -- which is a more pure-play product in the emerging semantic web field -- finished a strong second. It didn't get the votes Google garnered, but voters were nevertheless passionate about Freebase, submitting comments like this: "Freebase is creating the critical mass of a data commons, which could be a valuable foundation for the semantic web ecosystem. They are actively curating the data with community-driven yet centrally coordinated ontologies and data resources."

In other categories, Blogger won it's category, Sorce Intranet dominated the Intranet Design category -- unseating reigning champ Intranet Dashboard -- and MindJet MindManager 7 won a very competitive Document Management/Collaboration category.

Win or lose, however, simply being nominated was an honor. The dozens of nominations came from readers, and vote totals showed that each product has loyal users.
