Thriving CVSDude Moving Headquarters to U.S.

CVSDude -- which creates a global intranet that is a secure place for collaboration -- has announced a range of initiatives and financial milestones.

CVSDude allows for collaborative development for people working with open source tools. It has gained 60,000 users during its five years, and is the leading product in its space.

Despite the worldwide economic struggles, CVSDude experienced its best revenue month ever in six years of business in January. This is a testament to the strength and robustness of the company's Software-as-a-Service business model, as customers seek to maximize the value of their worldwide programming teams and minimize their upfront capital costs in difficult times.

A change of headquarters is also in the works. If the "dude" in its name suggests a no-worries, surfer lifestyle, it's no surprise that CVSDude began in Australia -- in the city of Robina, Queensland.

The company's management team has decided to move the corporate headquarters to the heart of Silicon Valley, Palo Alto, from the Gold Coast of Australia. The executive and support teams will be focused on sales, marketing, and support around the company's new website, platform technology, and SMB/Enterprise-focused product suite.

"Given the critical importance and geo-centricity of Silicon Valley to the programming world, we expect our move to California to be one that CVSDude customers will welcome," said Jason Seed, CEO of CVSDude. "Tech support is also expected to partially move to the Bay Area, with R&D remaining in Queensland, Australia. We are very excited to be part of the 'epicenter' of the high-tech world here in Silicon Valley and look forward to making our own mark here with CVSDude."

Approximately 65 percent of CVSDude's customers are in the States -- especially the Bay Area, Texas, New York, and Cambridge -- with another 25 percent in Europe. That's who pays the bills, anyway: many of the logins come from India and China, showing that CVSDude creates a global net for many far-flung employees. Programmers depend on CVSDude because it offers a collaboration platform for software development. Files are stored on CVSDude's hosted server environment and can be checked in and out from any location. Team members can work on the same code, then use CVSDude to update each other with their changes. The product saves the hassle of trying to e-mail new code. It also saves the cost of creating an in-house platform to accomplish the same thing.

This spring, the CVSDude Enterprise Edition will become available, servicing the emerging user segment of large corporations, government agencies, and universities that demand guaranteed uptime, better management and integration features, improved customer support, and stronger security. This edition will offer IP lockdown, for example, only permitting use by those with specific IP addresses.

The Enterprise Edition will be for organizations with large, scalable needs. Like the other editions coming out, such as the upcoming Professional edition, it will offer an AJAX-based browser interface.

To further grow the company and its customer base, CVSDude has made the strategic acquisition of a competitor, found at www.sharpforge.com, sharpforge.org, and projxpert.com. As of March, the CVSDude group of companies will look after clients and users of these sites.
