Thanks for the ASP suggestion Mark. That does work, BUT I was hoping if I used it as an include file I could distribute it on the pages that this last modified stuff appears (which is all the main home pages on the Intranet), but lo and behold it only works if its an include file on an existing ASP, not html page. To do that would just baffle my already baffled authors more.......

So I"m still at the drawing board with the javascript & the other solutions posted here didn't work so far........
