Try creating a virtual directory and placing your files there. The reson you are going into interdev is that the url you are pointing to is not set up as a website or possibly 'running scripts' is not enabled in the sites properties menu. Although if the latter was the case you'd probably get a '500 internal server error' message in your browser.
