News Release: Landmark Launches iDims for Intranet Access to Drilling and Well Services Data

DALLAS, March 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Landmark Graphics Corporation, a wholly owned business unit of Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL), announced today the release of iDims(TM) for online Intranet access to drilling and well services operations data.

Coupled with a customer's Intranet site, iDims provides drilling morning reports, summary reports and virtually all other information contained in Landmark's Dims(TM) for Windows (DFW(TM)) Drilling Data Management system. "With the complexity of today's E&P operations, access to online drilling information via a Web browser will reduce the lead time for data acquisition and consumption dramatically," said Robert P. Peebler, Landmark's president and CEO. "Timely distribution of current well data and access to historical data has become a mandated requirement of E&P professionals and asset teams."

Dims for Windows is the established standard for gathering and disseminating drilling and well service operations data. However, not all asset team professionals require the data entry and modification capability of a full DFW system. Instead, they do require access to the corporate data repository, and iDims provides the functionality to support this requirement.

By combining DFW data access security with the corporate Intranet firewall to control site access, iDims provides managed access to current electronic well data. Users will have the ability to select individual wells, events, report types and dates and view the list of reports as needed.

"iDims would provide `live' reporting whereby the users will have the ability to request the generation of and view reports by going directly against their company's DFW database," said John Willis, Landmark's vice president for drilling and well services. "iDims would allow any user with a Web browser, from any location, to access required corporate information in a timely manner."

Landmark is the leading supplier of integrated E&P technical and economic software and services to support decision making about finding, drilling and producing oil and gas. Knowledge-based E&P companies now are turning to Landmark for technical-to-business (T2B(TM)) process integration for improving returns on their investments.
